The mutual function between the cage and the rolling element is in generally uneven when the bearing is revolving. There exists continual impact between them. The cage is impacted alternatingly besides there exist sliding friction between the riding surface between the cage and the rolling element or the bearing ring. So the materials used to make the cage should have comparatively good fatigue intensity, better rigidity and anti-corrosion compared with the rolling element, low coefficient of friction, close thermal expansion coefficient compared with the rolling element, better processing performance and so on.



According to the above requirement the non-metal materials used to make bearing cage are mainly nylon and resin. Composite materials made by adding some intensifier and lubrication agent have the advantages of light, wear resisting, good rigidity, good self-lubricated. The metal materials used to make the bearing cage are mainly carbon structural steel, brass dural and so on.


Seal materials generally have good physical and mechanical quality, high resilience, small compression set, reliable seal, processing convenience and long lifespan. The sealing materials which are often used are chemigum and fluororubber. Chemigium has the features of oil proof, low temperature resistance, and abrasive resistance. Its normal working temperature is between -30 degrees and 100 degrees and can reach 120 degrees in a short period of time. Special sizing materials can reach -50 degrees. Fluorrorubber has a good feature of heat resistance and has a good quality of heat resistance and resistance of other chemicals.. its normal working temperature is between -15 degrees and 200 degrees and can reach 250 degrees in a short period of time. Most rubber seal elements adopt molding method such as all types of squeezing seal, rotary shaft lip type seals, traverse lip seal, composite seal, thin film seal, bellow seal and so on.
