Bearings used on industrial robot
mainly include two types: one is Precession Thin-section Bearing, another is CrossedCylindrical Roller Bearing.
Besides there is reducer bearing, linear bearing, articulated bearing.
Precision Thin-sectionBearing
Precision thin-section bearing includes seven open series and five sealed series. The open series include three types: Deep Groove Ball Bearing( C type), Angular Contact Ball Bearing( A type) and Four-point Contact Ball Bearing. It has the following advantages: it realizes extreme-thin section and it also realizes light and small. Its diversity extends the application range. Precision Thin-section bearing adopts steel balls with small outer diameter which makes the bearing acquire low friction torque, high rigidity and good turn accuracy.
The use of hollow shaft ensures light and space for wiring. Besides Thin-section Deep Groove Ball Bearing( C type), Four-point Contact Ball Bearing ( X type) also include dust cover type, flange type, stainless steel type etc. Thin-section Bearing can be Deep Groove Ball Bearing, Four-point Contact Ball Bearing and Angular Contact Ball Bearing. The section of Precision Thin-section Bearing are mostly square. In those series even the diameter of the shaft and the bearing hole is larger the section will not change. So these bearings are called Thin-section Bearing.
Crossed Roller Bearing
The feature is the cylindrical or tapered rollers are crossed arranged vertically on rolling surface among space retainers. So the Crossed Rollers can bear radial load, axial load and torque load. The size of inner and outer ring is miniaturized. The extreme-thin type is closed to limited small and it has high rigidity. The accuracy reaches P5, P4 and P2. So they are applied on equipment such as joint and rotary portion of industrial robot, the rotary table of mechanical processing center, precision rotary table, medical equipment, calculator,military industry and IC manufacture device.
● It has outstanding working accuracy. The rollers inside the Crossed Roller Bearing are cross-arranged vertically among spacer retainers or blocks. This structure prevents the rollers from tilting and mutual friction. It effectively prevents the working torque from increasing. And contact and lock among the rollers will not occur. At the same time because the inner ring and outer ring are split the clearance can be adjusted. It could acquire high revolving accuracy even it is preloaded.
●Installation has been simplified: the inner ring or outer ring that is split is fixed together after rollers and cages are installed. So it is very easy to install.
●It can bear comparatively large axial and radial load; Because the rollers are cross-arranged vertically on V-type rolling surface among spacer retainers. This design allows the cross rollers bear comparatively large radial load, axial load and torque load.
